ANZSCDB Special Programs

The following Program may be accessed for suport of:

State and Local Cell & Developmental Biology Meetings

For support of State and Local Cell & Developmental Biology Meetings, ANZSCDB will provide $250/meeting in advance to facilitate the organization and running of up to two state/local meetings per year.

In addition, for one of these meetings we will provide an additional sum (to a maximum of $750) towards the expenses of an invited interstate speaker. One such meeting per year per state will be funded.

Thus, up to $1250 is available to each state per annum to support state/local activities.  As a condition of this support, the ANZSCDB should be acknowledged in promotional material for the meeting and at the meeting (e.g. in flyer announcing meeting, brochure at meeting, slide at meeting, on website).

Who is eligible?
Applications are open to organizers of these meetings as long as they become members of ANZSCDB. Preference is given to financial members of the ANZSCDB. All supported meetings will have at least one Society member on the organizing committee.

How do you apply?
Applications for this support will consist of a letter detailing the meeting title, location, approximate date and some proposed speakers. A notice with details of the meeting will be provided to the Society which will be distributed by the local organizers as well as the Society via its email network and website.  Applicants should also indicate in their application other likely sources of financial assistance that would ensure the success of the meeting.

Applications can be forwarded at any time to the President and should be submitted well in advance of the proposed meeting.

What does your Society require of you?
Upon completion of the supported meeting, the applicant will submit a short report of the meeting for publication in the Society's newsletter.
