Local Projects

The Biovideo Project: encouraging undergraduates to investigate the potential of careers in the Biomedical Sciences. In this project undergraduate science or medical science students visit and interview practising scientists or people who have used their science PhD as a springboard into other careers. Students edit their interview and make it available to others as a short video via the web. The library of biographical videos may be of benefit of students pondering whether to commit to a research degree by providing some personal perspectives of people who have been there. We would like to expand the video library and make it more visible to undergraduates by engaging colleagues at other institutions. If you would like to learn more about the project please contact Bill Phillips (billp@physiol.usyd.edu.au) or Bronwyn McAllan (bronwyn.mcallan@sydney.edu.au ).
